Why couples book us

The alcohol-free bar is the bar.

Most drinks suppliers treat alcohol-free as an afterthought — a jug of orange juice next to the bar for the people who aren’t drinking. We built GULI the other way round. Every drink we pour is non-alcoholic, so at a dry wedding there’s nothing missing and nothing to work around: the cart is the centrepiece, and the queue forms in front of it all night.

That matters more than it sounds. Guests who don’t drink — for faith, for pregnancy, for driving, for recovery, or because they simply don’t — usually spend a wedding holding the least interesting glass in the room. Our drinks are built to order in front of them, they taste like somebody tried, and they photograph as well as anything coming out of a licensed bar.

Halal by default

Nothing on the cart contains alcohol.

Not in the drinks, not in the syrups, not in the extracts. The whole menu is halal-friendly, which is how most of our Muslim couples find us in the first place — and it’s why we’re comfortable pouring at a Nikkah, a Mehndi or a walima without anyone needing to check the labels.

GULI itself started in a family kitchen in Ramadan 2023, pressing fresh ginger shots for people fasting. The first batch sold out in two days. Everything since has been built on the same rule: nothing goes in the cup that we wouldn’t drink ourselves.

What you get

Built for the whole celebration.

  • 01

A toast that looks the part

Ruby Sunset in a flute — deep pomegranate red, a little less sweet than the rest, and it holds its own in the photographs.

  • 02

    Four signature mocktails

Ocean Breeze, Tropical Sunrise, Ruby Sunset and Mango Mayhem, on house lemonade with fresh lime and mint.

  • 03

    Ceremonial matcha bar

A full 2g of ceremonial-grade matcha per cup, over homemade strawberry or blueberry jam, finished with cold foam or banana pudding.

Kids, drivers, non-drinkers, expecting mums and grandparents all drink from the same menu — no separate table, no explaining yourself.

Oat, almond or coconut milk at no extra cost. Mocktails, cold brew and lemonade are dairy-free as standard.

  • 06

    Matched to your colours

From bright blue to deep ruby — send us your palette and we’ll tell you what we can tweak.

Mehndi, Nikkah & walima

We know how these weekends run.

Multi-day celebrations are some of our favourite bookings. The cart holds a queue well, it works indoors, in a marquee or in a garden, and it gives guests somewhere to gather between the formal moments. We can pour at a single event or move with you across the weekend — tell us the running order and we’ll build the timings around it.

Good to know

Alcohol-free wedding FAQs.

What couples planning a dry, halal or sober wedding usually ask us first.

Do you cater for alcohol-free and dry weddings?

Yes — it’s the only kind of bar we run. Every drink on the GULI cart is 100% non-alcoholic, so there’s no licensed bar to work around and no separate soft-drinks table that guests drift away from. The alcohol-free bar is the bar.

Is everything halal?

Yes. Nothing we pour contains alcohol — not in the drinks, not in the syrups, not in the extracts — so the whole menu is halal-friendly. It’s the reason a lot of our couples find us in the first place.

Do you do Mehndi, Nikkah and walima events?

Regularly. Mehndis and walimas are some of our favourite bookings — the cart holds a queue well, the drinks photograph beautifully against the outfits, and everyone from kids to grandparents can drink from the same menu. We can pour across a single event or move with you across the weekend.

What do you serve at a dry wedding instead of a Champagne toast?

Ruby Sunset is our usual recommendation for a toast — it’s a deep pomegranate red, it looks the part in a flute or a coupe, and it’s a little less sweet than the others. For the reception we’d normally run all four mocktails plus the matcha bar, with cold brew later in the evening.

Can you match the drinks to our colours?

We can. The signature mocktails already run from bright blue through gold to deep ruby, and for weddings we’ll happily tweak flavours and colours to fit your palette. Send us a photo of the scheme and we’ll tell you what we can do.

Will non-drinkers and drinkers both be happy?

That’s the point of it. Because the drinks are built fresh and taste like they took effort, nobody feels like they’ve been handed the kids’ option — which is the usual complaint about the soft drinks table at a wedding.

Can guests with dietary requirements drink from the cart?

Yes — oat, almond and coconut milk are available for the matcha at no extra cost, the mocktails and lemonade are dairy-free as standard, and everything on the cart is vegetarian. Tell us about allergies when you book and we’ll go through each drink with you.

How much does an alcohol-free wedding bar cost?

Packages start at £399, with the final figure depending on guest numbers, venue and how long you’d like us pouring. Send us those three things and we’ll come back with a clear quote, usually within a day.
