Who we are

GULI is a mobile drinks bar based in Cardiff, Wales, trading as [ registered trading name ]. We are the "data controller" for the personal information described on this page — meaning we decide what is collected and why.

What we collect, and why

We collect two kinds of information, and no more than we need for either.

What you send us in the enquiry form

Your name, email address, and — if you choose to give them — your phone number, event date, event type, venue or town, approximate guest numbers and whatever you write in the message box. We use this only to reply to your enquiry, quote for your event and, if you book, organise the day. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest: you contacted us asking for a quote.

How the site is used, if you agree to it

If you press Accept on the cookie banner we load Google Analytics, which records things like which pages you visited, roughly where in the world you are and which site sent you to us. It tells us which pages bring in enquiries. Our lawful basis is your consent, and no analytics cookies are set unless you give it.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. Two services process it on our behalf:

Web3Forms

Delivers the enquiry form to our email inbox. Your form submission passes through their service on the way to us.

Google Analytics

Provides the usage statistics described above, and only if you have accepted cookies. This may involve transferring data outside the UK under the safeguards Google has in place.

We may also share information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies at all unless you accept them. Declining the banner stores a single record of that choice in your browser so we stop asking; it is not a cookie and it is not sent to us or to anyone else.

If you accept and later change your mind, clearing this site’s data in your browser settings will remove the choice and the analytics cookies, and the banner will appear again.

How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept for [ retention period — e.g. two years ] from your last contact with us, so that we can pick up the thread if you come back to us. Where we have taken a booking, we keep the records we need for tax and accounting purposes for six years, as UK law requires.

Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention period set on our Analytics property.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or object to us using it. Where we rely on your consent — that is, analytics — you can withdraw it at any time, and doing so does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.

If you think we have handled your information badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113.
